How to install stable diffusion – Forge webui quick start guide.

Upload by

This guide is for installing Forge Web ui on NVIDIA graphics cards with 4gb+ of VRAM.

(If you have an AMD card you're gonna have a bad time, but, search for stability ui or stability matrix, use their one click installers and pray (be prepared for it not to work).)

This guide is meant as a simple and easy to follow "quick start" to get you up and running. This guide will not teach you how to actually use stable diffusion, or any of it's features. (though I could also write one of those if there is enough call to do so).

The following page will explain in quick and easy points how to install "forge webui", a fork of the original automatic1111 Web ui. This guide will not teach you how to install comfy ui.

Pre-requistits =

NVIDIA graphics card with a minimum of 4gb of VRAM.

Recommend = NVIDIA graphics card with 6+gb of vram.

This is the software we are installing:

https://github.com/lllyasviel/stable-diffusion-webui-forge

The one click installer is found here:

https://github.com/lllyasviel/stable-diffusion-webui-forge/releases/download/latest/webui_forge_cu121_torch231.7z

1) Download the file.

2) Unzip the file to desired location.

3) run update.bat,

4) run run.bat.

The first time you run it, it will take ages, (2-30 minutes depending on your system), and, download a ton of stuff (a few gig minimum).

The one click installer should install the following things.

Git, python, torch, various windows extensions and plugins, possibly a codec pack.

The installer will also download the base SD 1.5 checkpoint, do not use this checkpoint. Either delete it later, or forget it exists.

When the installation is completed, It will open a Web browser. (important note – this is a local page and nothing is ever sent to the Internet. No data, no prompts, no settings, nothing. It's 100% local, safe and secure.)

Close both the Web browser, AND, the command box.

(the command box IS the program. The Web page is simply a graphical interface).

Now you need checkpoints (models).

Go to civitai.com

Create an account or use Google sign in or whatever. Then, go to acount settings and set show NSFW, otherwise you'll have a hard time finding porn stuff.

There are two types of model.

Checkpoints and Loras.

Think of checkpoints like a computer game, and loras are the expansion packs or DLC for that game.

For now, we are only interested in checkpoints.

Only use checkpoints that will fit into your VRAM (not ram, VRAM). The size of the checkpoint is on the right of the screen.

As a rough guide:If you have 4-6gb of vram, use SD1.5 models, these should be approximately 2gb size files.

Eg – Katafract

https://civitai.com/models/209288?modelVersionId=235710

(disclaimer, this is my model, I blended it for my tastes, so I'm biased. Feel free to ignore my model and just get something else, however, do be aware some models require an additional file called a VAE, (search on civitai.com or Google) my model does not require a VAE, it is "baked in".)

If you have 6+ gb of vram, you can use either SD1.5, sdxl or Flux models (these will vary in size). Do not bother with sd2.5 or sd3, they are not good for porn.

Download models and place them in the following folder

Webui_forge / webui / models / stablediffusion

Restart forge.

Choose model from drop down menu on the top left.

On the top right, change "clip skip" to 2.

Thats it. That's you up and running.

Go make porn.

Additionally you may want a face swapper (I recommend reactor found in the extensions/add ons tab),

And, controlnet models for your model type (just Google either SD1.5 controlnet or sdxl controlnet etc).

Please feel free to post your favourite models to help the community find things.

If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them. But, I can't promise I'll know how to fix your issue.

If this was useful, I can write guides on the following topics:

Prompts and settings.

Controlnet canny.

Same pizza.
